Meet your Boca Raton Internal Family Systems Therapist
Hi, I’m Jenna, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in using Internal Family Systems (IFS) to treat trauma, grief, anxiety and shame. This transformative approach helps to foster an environment of curiosity, compassion and safety, rather than one of criticism and blame.
Together, we will explore your internal landscape—creating a personalized "map" to understand how your unique self has learned to navigate life’s ups and downs. You will learn how to connect with the different “parts” of yourself and address what is needing your attention with love, self-compassion and clarity.
I’ve spent my career helping clients process deep sources of pain and wounds from the past that traditional talk therapy hasn’t been able to heal. I’ve found that it’s one thing to understand what happened to you, and it’s another to learn to be the person for yourself today that you needed back then. I am passionate about helping my clients tap into their most authentic, alive and joyful selves through the work of IFS.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is an evidence-based modality that helps people understand, relate to and heal the different “parts” of themselves. IFS views the mind as being made up of numerous pieces—like a team inside you—all with the intention to help you. Rather than seeing thoughts, emotions, or behaviors as problems to fix, IFS views them as protective mechanisms that developed for a reason. The goal is to help you access your core Self — the calm, compassionate, confident side of you — so healing can occur from within.
-
Have you ever found yourself saying “a part of me feels…” before sharing your emotions with someone? In IFS, “parts” are different aspects of your personality or emotional experience. For example, you may have:
A perfectionist part
An anxious part
A protective part that avoids vulnerability
A younger wounded part
-
Traditional talk therapy often focuses on analyzing problems or changing thoughts and behaviors. IFS focuses on developing a compassionate relationship with your internal system of parts. Instead of fighting difficult emotions, IFS helps you understand and heal them at the root.

Sessions are collaborative and paced according to your comfort level. You may be guided to notice emotions, thoughts, physical sensations, or internal reactions and explore the parts connected to them. You have say and choice throughout the process, and there is no pressure to revisit painful memories until you feel ready. I see myself as a guide that offers paths and trails to explore together.
-
You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Many clients start with a general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted. Therapy creates space to explore what’s beneath those experiences, and I am here to offer guidance and help steer us towards what is needing your attention.
